School of CPR VR is an innovative project developed in virtual reality for smartphones. The principal aim is to increase awareness, inform and train on the maneuvers to be performed in the event of cardiac arrest in adults and children. School of CPR VR includes two different scenarios: out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in adults in a prestigious location such as Piazza Santo Stefano in Bologna and pediatric cardiac arrest in a school. The user is guided through the specific scenario: consciousness evaluation, assessment of breathing, call for help, CPR, and use of an AED. The goal is to adequately answer the various questions correctly in order to proceed in the resuscitation of the patient victim of cardiac arrest.
This app is an initiative of Azienda USL of Bologna in collaboration with IRC Edu Srl, a company of the IRC Group, and with the contribution of the Fondazione Del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna.

Azienda USL di Bologna (www.ausl.bologna.it) promotes awareness campaigns on cardiac arrest in the population and in schools to improve the survival of patients who are victims of cardiac arrest. Fondazione Del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna (www.fondazionedelmonte.it) contributed to the creation of the app.
